Interdisciplinary Research Centre for the Newest Music Theatre

missing_sam

Through the reality of contemporary music theatre, the traditional view of history and storytelling faces a fundamental crisis. The music theatre of the present begins, therefore, where traditional forms, the different generic patterns reach their limits.

Neither the sound, nor the movement is perceived in isolation; what is perceived is rather the fascination of that moment in which sound and movement merge.

Every moment of movement must, ultimately, be understood as an experiment, as a chance to constantly re-explore the realms of our thinking.

Reality is not a fixed entity; reality is momentary consciousness that is constituted in the here and now for the very first time.

Storytelling, in the true sense of the word, has become impossible – yet, what can be thought, can also be accomplished.
