Super Vision and the Performance of Dataveillance
This talk examines Super Vision, the most recent work of the US performace group Builder's Association. I expore how this work of mediated performances engages emerging practices of digital surveillance or "dateveillance, " practices that reincribe Foucault's panopticon on the performance stratum. I will untangle three distinct modes of performativity at work in dataveillance: the theatrical, the executive, and the algorithmic.
