Prof. Balme: Teilnahme am iwEU Forum Valletta "Narratives of Governance, Narratives of the Public Sphere"

logo malta eu 2017iwEU Forum Valletta: Narratives of Governance, Narratives of the Public Sphere is a cultural public debate organised by Maltese MEP Therese Comodini Cachia from the EPP Group as part of the cultural programme for Malta’s Presidency of the EU Council 2017.

Forum Valletta consists of provocations, reactions and discussion involving artists, cultural operators, critics, and politicians. As the heading "Narratives of Governance, Narratives of the Public Sphere" indicates, the Forum will look at a how cultures, people, and cities (regions) function in relation to each other and how they impact on systems of governance which in turn determine the lives of people and the spaces/places they live in and how.

The aim of the Forum is to engage in discussion via provocations and reactions around themes related to culture, governance, and active citizenship. Key players in the European cultural field have been invited to participate (see programme as PDF download).

Christopher Balme is invited as one of the provocateurs at the opening provocations in session 1 which are followed by four reactions.
